Latvijas Pasts has released a cover devoted to the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Youth Guard voluntary military-oriented movement of school youth. Special cancellation of the new cover was held in the Latvian War Museum on the 25th January 2017.

 The cover has been released in support of the goals set by the Youth Guard: a socially integrated and cohesive civil and patriotic society, the youth enlightened regarding the issues of national defence and meaningfully spent leisure time. The design of the new cover incorporates the logo of the Youth Guard with the slogan "Let us grow for Latvia!" and its print run is 2,000 copies. The philatelic release has been designed by the artist Ģirts Grīva.

Presentations cover held with participation of Minister of Defense Raimonds Bergmanis, head of the defense of the National Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Raymond Graube and chairman of the Board of Latvian Post Mārcis Vilcāns.

The stamp has been released to the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Youth Guard and has been designed by the artist Vera Keidane.
